Gifts that keep giving

The holidays are here again.

I’m a gift person.  I love giving gifts.  I love receiving gifts.

I received a catalog in the mail today from World Vision.  Did you know that a gift of $25 can give an impoverished family in another country two chickens?  5 ducks; $30, A llama for travel; $70, a pig; $195 or you can donate to a well of deep, clean drinking water for a community for $100.

I think when Elaina and Zoya get home today we are going to look through the catalog together to “shop.”

And something very close to my heart this Christmas… the gift of a chance at life.  Head on over to Reece’s Rainbow’s Angel Tree Fundraiser.  There is a gallery of children there, most of whom have Down syndrome, waiting for families to call their own.  Evangeline could have been one of those children this year.  Thank God we found her.  A donation of just $35 towards any of these children would help so much to offset pending adoptions.
